The End

I am sad to say but this will be my last post. Because of all my examing to the stars with my telescope i have gone blind. Apparently you can not look directly at the sun or you WILL go blind. Seeing as how i am the first to study the stars and planets, please learn from my example. I will now be blind for the rest of my life and can not continue me work. So i hope taht all i have accomplished before this point goes down in history and affects the lives of scientist for many generations. Thank you to all who followed my blog. Good bye (:

Pisa pisa ! (:

i have conducted loads of experiments here at the University of PIsa, but my most interesting one was proving Aristotle's theory that heavier objects fall faster than lighter ones wrong. I have test this theory by recently climbing to the top of the Tower of Pisa and dropping several objects, all with different weights. I ended up proving that all objects in the end will always fall at the exact same rate no matter the size

A Little Bit of History.

Today my observations and research for the telescope has be noticed!  I finally found out who attempted to invent the telescope before me. It was a man named Demiscianus. He actually didnt make it for himself. It was made by the request of the greek Prince Cesi who was president of the Luncean Academy. Because i used it in the early years of 1612, i am the one who got credit for it tho because i was the last one to use and develop the telescope before it got introduced to England! (:

Spotted Sun!

Todays discoveries surpasses every other discovery i have made so far. While i was examining the sun i saw little black specs. So the next day i started at the sun for an ever longer time. I have named them sun spots. Every day for the last week ive observed them and after all of the sketches ive made i realized....that the spots are moving! Either the sun is getting new spots or the whole sun is moving! I concurred that the sun is actually moving because the spots that seemed to be moving were the exact same spots so i figured that it must be the entire sun moving on some sort of axis. Now that i understood the sun rotates, it makes it easier to connect the sun and earth moving together and rotating around each other! Another great discovery that i hope will enlighten and affect intelligent minds for years after me.

Dante's Inferno

The Academy of Florence has been having an argument over the dimensions, shape, and location of Dante's Inferno. I have so badly wanted to answer this question and impress people with my knowledge. I thought and spent hours trying to figure it out. I wasn't sure if my answer was correct or not but i went to a meeting they were having and gave it a shot. I explained that Dante's line was just as long and wide as St. Peters cone in Rome. Everyone was very impressed with me and they decided to give me a 3 year appointment at the University of Pisa. Its wild to think Im working there because its the same college that never graduated me with a degree

Instant Fame!

Today i became a celebrity. I took my students from Pisa University to a Cathedral to admire some of the architecture last week. When i looked up and saw a lamp on a long string swinging back and forth. It made me wonder how long a large and small swing took. So i timed the swings using my own pulse. I concurred that each swing took the same time. The long swings took the exact same amount of time as other long swings and the short swings also took the same amount of time. I had just discovered the Law of Pendulums which we now use for regulating clocks. Today all in all was a fabulous day

Never in a million years would you guess....

Not many people know this about me, but i thought, since i have started this blog so people CAN know about me and what affects i intend on having in the world, i would tell you. My father was a musician and wool trader who had had big plans for me since i was little. He wanted me to grow up and practice in medicine because he knew how well paying it was. When i was 11 my parents sent me to a Jesuit monastery to get the best education. Four years later when i was 15 and came home i told my father i wanted to be a monk! My father was very angry so i eventually withdrew from my dream, but soon found a new one, in the sky and the stars. To this day i thank my father for pressuring me away from one dream but leading me to another. I often think of what my life and history would be like without me.
